History Of Our Dynamic Mother-Daughter Duo: “We are not in the spa business because it’s the latest money maker. It’s our life!” We’ve been pioneers in the spa business for over 20 years. Initially it was just Nancy. Over the years she instilled the importance of holistic health into her daughter, and at age 18, Summer completed her massage licensing and formally began her career at Avila Day Spa. In 2000, they decided to create a “next generation of spa” in Laguna Beach—and this time together. Nancy and Summer are both gifted healers and massage practitioners, hard workers, and successful entrepreneurs.
